2012-2013 Squirt Gold - STATE CHAMPS!
With friends and relatives on-hand and everyone fired up the boys were poised for the ultimate win. Although there were some great individual efforts, it was that awesome teamwork that got this victory and the great season overall. Congratulations Boys!
The team would like to dedicate this game and the entire season to Tyler Petro. Tyler's never-tiring effort is absolutely awe inspiring and it is that same dedication and work ethic that will help him through his recovery. We're with you and love you Tyler!

- 1st game Won 10-0 against Pleasant Prairie Patriots. Tyler Vossmeyer with a hat trick and Isaac Mejia-Troop had the shutout.
- 2nd game 4-3 Win over Omaha Jr. Lancers. Saxen Robertson with the hat trick.
- 3rd game 10-0 Win over Belle Tire Dearborn. Saxen Robertson with the hat trick and 3 assists. Isaac Mejia-Troop with the shutout.
- Championship Game was played against Omaha Jr. Lancers. After finishing regulation tied 3-3 the game was won in a shoot out. Shoot out goals were scored by Tyler Vossmeyer and Joy Dunne.

St. Peters Spirit Squirt A1 are CHAMPIONS of the President's Day Cup
in Nashville, TN.
The boys went 2-1 in Round Robin play with their only loss to the
Memphis Riverkings. This secured their spot in the Championship game.
St. Peters met the Riverkings again in the final ... nail biter game
with a final of 3-3 in regulation sending the game to 5 minute Sudden
Death.
The clock ticks away .... the shot is fired, tipped and SCORED!!!!
St. Peters wins with 10.5 seconds left in Overtime for a final of 4-3.

Now ranked #2 in the Nation for Tier 2 Clubs
98 Bantam Major St. Peters Selects improved to 29-4-4 and are now ranked #2 in the Nation for Tier 2 Clubs @ www.myhockeyrankings.com. The Selects recently won the North American Prospect Hockey League Bantam Tournament in Frisco, Texas over the Holidays going 5-0. During the trip, the 98 Selects also played the #17 ranked Tier 1 Dallas Stars Elite AAA to a 1-1 tie in a friendly exhibition game.
The 98s have recorded the following accomplishments this season:
- 98 Rumble on the Rink (Detroit) Silver Championship
- 98 Rolling Thunder Bantam Elite Championship (STL)
- 98 STL Selects Fall Classic Championship (STL)
- 98 Bauer Invite AAA SemiFinalist (Chicago)
- 98 NAPHL Bantam Tournament Series, (MN) Runner-Up
- 98 NAPHL Bantam Tournament Series (TX) Championship
The 98 Selects are made up of ALL St. Peters districted players. Players include: Carter Mize, Blake Kochner, Cory Robinson, Jake Russo, Justin Meers, Scott Leathers, Ryan Edgar, Blake Freund, Ryan Wind, Jacob Stewart, Tyler Stewart, Jake Larson, Nick Schnelle, Christian Dahl, Danny Follmer, Eric Stelmacki, and Samir Abouelhana. The team is led by Head Coach Kris Mize and Assistant Coaches Tom Edgar, Mike Russo, and Greg Wind.
Next up for the Selects are exhibition games in Kansas City against Tier 1 #16 ranked Russell Stovers AAA and Tier 1 #17 ranked Dallas Stars Elite AAA on January 12-13.
The 98 Selects will have 4 home games in January:
- January 19th @ 4:45 pm @ Rec Plex North vs. Affton 98 Central States
- January 26th @ 11:00 am @ Rec Plex South vs. Omaha 98 AAA
- January 26th @ 4:45 pm @ Rec Plex North vs. Omaha 98 AAA

Congratulations to the Squirt A1 team for going UNDEFEATED with a 5-0
record to win the Chicago Thanksgiving Classic.
The team defeated Northern Express (IL) 3-2, Meramec Sharks 4-2,
Naperville Sabres (IL) 3-1 and the Kalamazoo Wings (MI) 10-1 to secure
their position as 1st seed in the Championship game. The boys were
ready to take on the Meramec Sharks for the title of champion! Three
periods later ... the boys earned the CHAMPIONSHIP with a final of
4-1.

- The Championship game was played against the undefeated South Bend Irish Rovers. The score was tied 3-3 until the last 37 seconds when the Rovers scored making the game 3-4.
The boys showed tremendous effort and teamwork all weekend for a well-deserved 2nd place finish! Congratulations to the PeeWee A1 team! |

- 1st game Won 7-6 against Glenview Stars. Tyler Vossmeyer had a 4 goals.
- 2nd game 4-2 Win over Twin Bridges.
- Skills Competition Team Won 1st Place in team competition and in 3 categories of individual skills Saxen Robertson finished first in backwards skating, 3rd in forward skating and 3rd in stick handling, Ethan DeGroat finished 3rd in Backwards Skating, Aiden Meintz finished 2nd in forward skating, Isaac Mejia-Troop won 1st for goaltending.
- 3rd game 9-0 Win over Springfield, IL Kings. Isaac Mejia-Troop with the shut out.
- Championship Game was played against Twin Bridges Lightening. After finishing regulation tied 2-2 the game was won in a shoot out. Shoot out goals were scored by Tyler Vossmeyer and Andrew Knapp.

- Championship Game was played against the Huntsville Chargers which was tied 3-3 and went into overtime twice and then to a shoot out where Clayton Cissell and Hunter Zeig scored and goalie Jared Bradley stopped the opposing team every time.
